Please note that if you have not already set up an account on the new Powerschool portal, you will need new access codes. New codes are available from your advisors or from the front office, and also during our open house nights.

Also, the upgrade of the parent portal on Powerschool means that each guardian can have a unique account, activated using the access codes attached to each student.  Please make sure every guardian that needs the Powerschool access codes received them, so that they may set up their own account.

The upgrade will also allow you to link yourself as a guardian to students in other AOS93 schools.  If you have a child at LA, and a child at another AOS93 school, contact that school to get your younger child’s access code and you can link them to the same account you set up for your LA student.

Did you know that you can forward your LA email to your cell phone?

Your teachers are going to expect you to check your email regularly.  If you don’t, you will miss important information such as the fact that the giant exam scheduled for tomorrow is delayed, or that your paper is actually due Friday…not Monday.

To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Log into your LA GMail account
  2. Click on the little settings icon in the upper right hand corner (looks like a gear).
  3. Choose Forwarding
  4. (You can also choose a personal email address at this step if you like.)
  5. Click Add a Forwarding Address
  6. Enter your phone number like this:  000000000@(your cell phone carrier’s email gateway address.  An example for Verizon would be – 1234567899@vtext.com
  7. Don’t close the window yet!
  8. It will send a confirmation code to your phone. Enter that code in the box marked verification code.
  9. A full list of all cell phone carrier email to SMS gateways is here.

The only issue here is that you will get all LA email in the form of a text, so you want to be careful unless you have an unlimited text plan. Or you may want to set up a filter so you only get the really important emails, say those from your math teacher.  To do that, follow these instructions to create a filter so that you include only the emails you want.
